A warrant canary is a posted notice that tells you we haven't received any secret legal requests that would prevent us from discussing them. If we receive those kinds of requests, we can't share details, so we remove this notice instead.
As of February 4, 2026, we have not received any secret legal requests that would prevent us from updating this notice. This includes:
United States
- National Security Letters (NSLs)
- FISA court orders
- Secret Patriot Act orders
- Federal gag orders
European Union & International
- Eurojust coordination requests
- Mutual Legal Assistance Treaties
- European Investigation Orders
- Secret surveillance directives
- International gag orders
If we receive any of these requests, we would be legally prohibited from discussing it. We would have to remove this entire notice.
How This Works

- We won't post misleading updates claiming we've received these requests when we can't discuss them
